In maritime terminology, the forward part of a vessel is the bow. The bow is the front that leads the ship through the water as it moves forward. The stern is the rear end, the keel runs along the bottom centerline from bow to stern, and the foredeck is simply the deck located toward the front—not the overall front itself. So the term that denotes the forward part is bow.
